Price was raising concerns about a $113,000 payout to Danny Defenbaugh, the county's special investigator hired to look into allegations of wrongdoing made against two constables, Derick Evans and Jaime Cortes.
At one point, Commissioner Ken Mayfield interrupted Price and the ensuing brouhaha prompted County Judge Jim Foster to pound the gavel in an attempt to regain some order. It didn't work. Commissioner Maurine Dickey entered the fray. A louder pounding of the gavel seemed to set Price off. He pounded the dais with his fist, making an even louder thud. And, inches from Foster, shouted: "Make me come to order!".Price then pointed at Mayfield and shouted him down in a profanity-laced tirade.By the end of the meeting, Price was composed and back to his normal temperament: asking thoughtful questions and poking fun at his colleagues and others with a mixture of charm and wit.One of the local TV stations was on hand to record the heated exchange. Let's hope they post the footage online. If so, you're going to hear a lot of bleeps.
